Onomázein in ISI Web of Science

Last Thursday, August 19th, we were lucky to receive on behalf of Thomson Reuters, the news that our journal Onomázein has been accepted by the prestigious ISI Web of Science.

Specifically, we were informed that from the number 17 (June 2008) all of the articles published in it, shall be found indexed in the following ISI data bases:

Social Sciences Citation Index;
Arts and Humanities Citation Index;
Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences;
Current Contents/Arts and Humanities.

This news, naturally, lavishes us with satisfaction as it is a reward for the dedication and hard work put in by all the editorial team.

The ground rock principle by and through which Onomázein operates is that of offering to the investigative community in its wholeness the best articles from many diverse fields of expertise: Linguistics, Philology and Translation, be they the product of formalized research o maybe the
authors own reflexive yielding - naturally and always supported by the
strictest judgmental processes.

Our intention, as can be expected, is that throughout this new
stage Onomázein maintains said line of excellence.

Onomázein listed in Redalyc

Onomázein has been included in Redalyc (an international network of science that takes a wide berth from distinct countries as in Latin America, The Caribbean, Portugal and Spain). Redalyc has been backed, helped and supported by the UAEM (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México) with the aim of augmenting the contribution and diffusion of published scientific material that is produced both in and about Iberian America.

Redalyc’s proposal is manifested through the creation, polished design and up keeping of a scientific set of on line files of open access, which serves as a meeting place for any individual with an interest in the scientific knowledge with regards to Iberian America.

Onomázein has been added to Intute database, online service that lists the best web resources for study and research.

Intute is created by a consortium of seven UK universities (Birmingham University; Bristol University; Heriot-Watt University; Manchester University; Metropolitan Manchester University; Nottingham University; Oxford University) and is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).
